This policy explains what personal information Tierney Dynamics collects through tierneydynamics.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Tierney Dynamics ("we," "us") provides web hosting, programming, and system administration services. This policy applies to tierneydynamics.com and to personal information you send us through it, such as by email or a contact form. It does not cover client websites we host or manage; each client is responsible for its own privacy practices.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company, and the contents of any message or support request you send us.
- Information collected automatically. Your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page, and the date and time of your visit, recorded in server and hosting logs.
- Business and billing information. If you become a client, we collect the contact and billing details needed to provide and invoice our services. We do not store full payment card numbers on this website.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through this website.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide support.
- Provide, manage, and bill for our services.
- Operate, secure, and troubleshoot this website and our systems.
- Understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. How we share your information
We share information only as needed to run our business:
- Service providers that help us operate, such as web hosting and infrastructure (Amazon Web Services), email, support ticketing (Zoho Desk), website analytics (Google Analytics), and accounting tools. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights, our clients, or the security of our systems.
- Business transfers, if we merge with or sell part of our business, in which case the information may transfer to the new owner.
Text messages. If you agree to receive text messages from us, we use your mobile number only to send the messages described in our SMS Terms. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile number may be kept in the tools we use to run our business, such as our CRM, support ticketing, accounting, and phone and messaging providers, which may use it only to provide services to us. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the providers that deliver our messages, when required by law, or as part of a business transfer described above.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy. We do not apply a fixed retention period. How long we keep information depends on what it is and why we hold it: how long you remain a client or an active contact, whether we need it to provide services or resolve a dispute, and whether the law requires us to keep it (for example, tax and accounting records). When we no longer need information, we delete it or anonymize it. You can also ask us to delete your information at any time, as described in Section 7.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and the security features of our hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live (for example, California, other U.S. states with privacy laws, or the European Economic Area and United Kingdom), you may also have the right to receive a copy of your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. To make a request, use the contact form listed in Section 10. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies and tracking
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand how it is used. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, which sets cookies and collects information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you visit. Google processes this data on our behalf and under its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as intended. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because there is no common standard for them.
9. Children's privacy
Our website and services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be noted on this page.
